According to ancient Vedic astrology the following are the assigned basic point of each factor:
Varna = 1 point, Vashya = 2 points, Tara = 3 points, Yoni = 4 points, Graha Maitri = 5 points, Gana = 6 points, Bhakut =7 points and Nadi holds the maximum 8 points. The summation of all these points is 36. For Match-Making maximum 36 marks and minimum (acceptable for marriage) 18 marks(Guna) is considered.

It represents the nature of the person, whether the person is soft or aggressive. Varna is given Maximum 1 point.

Varna Calculation:
Persons having Birth sign or Birth Zodiac or Janma Rashi as:
Cancer(Karka), Scorpio (Vruschik) and Pisces(Meen/Min) are Brahmin Varna.
Aries(Mesh), Leo(Simh) and Sagittarius(Dhanu/Dhan) are Kshatriya Varna.
Taurus(Vrushabh), Virgo (Knya) and Capricorn(Makar) are Vaishya Varna.
Gemini(Mithun), Libra(Tula) and Aquarius(Kumbh) are Soodra/ Shudra Varna.

It indicate sexual compatibility.
Yoni Kuta Have Maximum 4 points.
Inauspicious Yoni: Natural Enemy like Simha (Lion) and Gaja (Eliphant) etc.
Auspicious Yoni: natural friend like Ashva (horse) and Ashva (horse) etc.
Enemy Yoni is very inauspicious for marriage. It`s create Sexual problems and dissatisfaction.

Planets friendship have Maximum 5 points are consider.
If boy`s and girl`s zodiac sign is same or ruler of zodiac sign are friends then get 5 marks.
If boy`s and girl`s zodiac sign Ruler one is friend and other (zodiac sign) ruler is Neutral then get 4 marks.
If boy`s and girl`s zodiac sign Ruler are Neutral then get 3 marks.

While counting Boy`s Rasi to girl`s Rasi or vice versa come 6th or 8th then chances of death is possible.
While counting Boy`s Rasi to girl`s Rasi or vice versa come 9th or 5th then Possibility of Childless or issueless.
While counting Boy`s Rasi to girl`s Rasi or vice versa come 2nd or 12th then Possibility of poverty.
